Final count just in.... The 4th Annual Doobie Brothers Fan Club Toy Drive brought in
1,016 items that also included $1,425 in checks. Listed below are the items not
previously recognized and the final items received on Dec. 16 brought in by a couple
of the elves.

The Grants filled the barrel at Saratoga with their donations and didn�t get one of
the donation forms to fill out. Thank you Grants for the great items you donated this
year. I do remember the Operation game because I was playing with it.

for your very generous donation of $1,000 for the children at Stanford.

I�d like to thank all of you out there who took the time to think of the children who
will be hospitalized at Stanford�s Children�s Hospital this holiday season. While we
delivered the toys this past Saturday, it couldn�t go unnoticed that I saw patients
who were there to receive treatment for their illness. A child with no hair is pretty
hard to miss. Your thoughtful donations, which will be given out throughout the year,
show that many of you care for others and are willing to get behind a cause without
expecting something in return. I hope next year, many more of you will participate in
this worthwhile cause. God bless you all and thank you for getting involved.

Special recognition goes out to Chris Snyder (our fearless sleigh driver), Lisa, Rick
Santangelo (photographer extraordinaire), Timm and Thomas Patrick Pasetta and Meinani
Carrara (who helped with various jobs). Not only did you all help with the packing
and delivery, I couldn�t have done it without you. (How many trips in the Camaro do
think I would have had to make? Just kidding.....) Having all of you over for lunch
before we launch the sleigh really helps set the mood for the holidays. With these
club members and family we bring to Stanford all of the clubs best wishes for the
children and families that will receive the donations this Christmas. Your (club,
family and friends) participation is sincerely appreciated.
A final thank you to Kathy Nelson, Bruce Cohn Management, who started the toy drive
many years ago in conjunction with the band�s visit to the hospital. Many thanks to
Pat and Cris Simmons who encourage and participate yearly with us. Also Laurin Willis
thank you for this assignment which he would like continued to be hosted by Bay Area
members, especially due to the proximity of the hospital. Not only does it keep me
busy but helps me focus on people in need.
