Dear Fan Club Members,
We realize that this note is way overdue. We wanted to make sure that you
all know how much we appreciate all the great things you have been doing
this past year.
Your support for the NVF has been astounding and has literally kept most of
their programs afloat. We thank you for that... You've made a difference in
the lives of many of these vets as well as the children of Lucille Packard
Children's Hospital with your generosity with the Christmas toy drive.
Thanks to all of you who sent in your toys from around the country. A
special thanks goes out to all those who helped Chris take ALL those toys
to the hospital. Such hard work, but for such a good cause.
We've heard lately that a blood drive has been happening for the Red Cross.
Once again, you've found a way to help others in need and your spirit of
giving has humbled us.
This fan club has become more than just a group of people who like the same
kind of music. It's become more like a big family the way everyone cares
and supports each other whenever there is a need. When someone is sick or
hurt or has a problem there are lots of shoulders to lean on. And when
something good happens everyone shares in that too.
When this fan club was started back in 1997 we had no idea that it would
develope into the kind of an organization that would touch so many people
in such a positive way.
The music is what brought us all together, but it's what we can do to help
others that really counts.
Belated Happy New Year - hope to see you somewhere down the road.
Your friends,
The Doobie Brothers
