Tiran told me that he dropped out because he was tired of the road. He
also told me he's "been there and done that", for too long and wanted
something fresh. He loves playing in the local bands around his
neighborhood and 15 minutes after the gig, he's home. He just loves that.
But I also know that he did have a falling out with a certain member of
the Doobie's. It breaks my heart to see that. I fight myself all the
time as I want to step in and SAY something, but it's really not my
place. Who knows? This may be the ultimate reason he is no longer with
the Doobie Brothers but I'd like to believe that he left by HIS choice.
I'd like to say that he has happily and graciously retired.
Brothers do squabble. I just hope they can someday forgive and forget. I
know Tiran wants to... I also know someone special will read this
message. I guess that's all I can do to try and help make amends. It's
been way too long for this to continue...
