Don't hate me cuz I'm lucky but we're going to LA 2001!! Be warned and expect the
unexpected. Aside from being entertained with 3 nights of the world's finest
rocknroll, what else will our eclectic band of fan club cohorts do while in LA? I've
been clued in on a little so allow me to extrapolate and run amuck:
The Price is Right will never be the same again. The Doobies and The Doobie People
will come to town and will be taking over show! The host will be replaced by the
handsome and stately Bruce Cohn. Tommy Johnston will substitute Johnny Olsen and
sing "yeh yeh yeh come on dowwnn around the corn-ah, people!!" Housewives across the
country will be drooling as Skylark replaces the female models who show the
merchandise except for the model driving the Ferrari which will be none other than the
lovely Lori Seaman. The band will play song selections from SR throughout the show to
further promote the CD. Now this is the interesting part. Items up for bid will be,
what else? Harleys and DOOBIE STUFF! And all the proceeds will go to the NVF. Pat
Simmons will be a celebrity contestant and get his hair caught in the Giant Spinning
Wheel. There will be a huge commercial break with Mark Russo's Coke and Clorox
commercials while they untangle Pat. A plethora of fan club members and !
bikers will comprise the audience and potential participants. Laurin, Glenn Maloy and
the ever-so-lucky Roger Cunningham get selected as contestants also. Glenn will beat
Roger in the showcase and this time have his turn to sing with the Doobies on stage.
Sorry Roger, you've already had yours. Laurin will stay after the show is over to
help clean up the set. What a trooper.
