It was no great surprise...probably even from the start of this crazy
concept of Doobie Brothers Survivor. Tthe votes are in for the final round
of voting and by a whopping 3-to-1 margin, "The Captain and Me" is the final
Doobie album survivor. 15 votes were cast for Vices, 5 for the Captain.
That's not to say that this experience hasn't had its surprises. And those
who have particpated have genuinely seemed to enjoy the agony of striking
one album from the list each round. Some are even requesting a second round.
So here are some concepts. Let's be democratic about this and everyone can
vote on what happens next. Should we?
1. Have a vote-down between all the songs on "The Captain and Me" to get to
the ultimate song from the ultimate Doobie album?
2. Have a vote-down of the songs on the playlist from the Wildlife Concert,
which encompasses music from the band's entire career (minus SR)?
3. Give up on this lame-brain contest and get back to way things used to be
on the list serve?
