Hi, Kevin.
This is probably a little odd, given that I'm in NC, but I'm new to a
Doobie Brothers fan list, and some correspondence from you went
through where you asked whether the new album "Sibling Rivalry" was
any good.
Well, YES!
I'll put it this way. If you're even remotely familiar with the
band, you'll identify this album as theirs within three bars of the
first track. If you're a fan, you'll play it three times in the
first 24-48 hours you own it. The harmony is still gorgeous, the
variety is amazing, and the lyrics are mature and clever. With some
albums, you'll have one song stick in your head for a few hours or a
couple of days. With this one, you'll have all of them on "replay."
I enjoyed "Cycles" and "Brotherhood," but this one stacks up with
"Captain and Me" with absolutely no apology.
Spend your lunch money on it!
Cheers!
