Saludos, *Dinner at the 4th<http://aramirez.arloartists.com/portfolios/57671-dinner-at-the-4th-comida-en-la-cuarta> * [ http://aramirez.arloartists.com/portfolios/57671-dinner-at-the-4th-comida-en-la-cuarta ] Texto inicial: *Dinner at the 4th* / *Cominda en la cuarta.* B&W photography force into motion. 2010 Audio Stereo (please use headphones). The video was produced using as a starting point a newspaper cut-off that described how a container packed with plastic ananas filled with cocaine arrived to Rotterdam in April 2010. According to the news paper the cargo came from Panama. From this moment on an imaginary character was created: a journalist lost while trying to find information related to the cargo. The video attempts to track the last days of this imaginary character. In order to achieve this we asked passengers of the Dutch Railroad System to suggest what could have possibly happen to him/her, who was him/her, what was he/she looking for? A script was created by chance and speculation. We followed what people told us. We asked: “Where did he/she disappeared?” And if people answered: “He was seen in Delft or in Amsterdam” we went there and ask again. Suspense leading to nothing. The soundtrack was the outcome of several individuals, that without knowing the previous history, created a collective text that gave life to the last moments of this non-present character. The video is made of three revolutions of a single loop. Each revolution has little changes that make each loop different but almost the same. The video comes with an essay also called “Dinner at the 4th”. Dinner at the 4th was created using analog photography. Audio by: Manuel Borda. Interviews and translation: Engelien Boven.
