Hi all,
We have been researching into a way to form a reliable and robust
connection between an enclosure and digital LED strips.

For some reason, the industry has adopted the "JST" type connector and most
LED strips will come with a female 2, 3 or 4 pin JST connectors wired to
the LED strip input pads.

So far we have not been able to find a compatible "locking" JST connector
that can be either surface mount or enclosure mount. Does any such thing
exist?

If not, what other suitable, small and sturdy 3-pin connector that can
carry fairly high current (5-10 amps at 5v) are there? The biggest
challenge is creating a strong mechanical connection to LED strip solder
pads which are pretty flimsy.
