I once built a water level sensor out of a wide ribbon cable with each run connected to an uncommitted pin on a Teensy 2++. The idea was to detect the difference between water and air by sending various pulses into and out of each pin. This worked in my sink but not in my creek. It might work great in your tree stand where everything moves slowly and dry is good and dry. It is simple. You probably have all the stuff. Tip: you submerge the far end of the ribbon, not the Teensy. Best regards -- Ward
