Hello dorkbot, I’m teaching a 1-credit seminar course that is designed to
expose students to the wide range of possible engineering careers. While we
don’t have an engineering program at Pacific, this course serves to help
students identify possible tracks toward engineering by hearing from practicing
. We meet Wednesdays from 4:45-5:35 and I would like to extend the invitation
to anyone here who would be interested in visiting the class and discussing the
practice of engineering from a “day in the life of” perspective. Most
Wednesdays between now and May are available if a particular date would work
best. I’m happy to give more details if you are interested.

We have many students who have identified mechanical engineering as an
interest, so I would especially like to find someone in that field. Other
listed interests include civil, industrial, electrical, aerospace, and
biomedical engineering.

If you know someone who isn’t on this list but would be a good person to
invite, I would appreciate any other recommendations of people to contact.

Best,
Andrew Dawes
