I owned a different branded model of that amazon one listed. It worked fairly well (took awhile to heat up) and was comparable to a wood-burner style soldering iron (not a metcal).
The undoing of it was the valve in the bottom started seeping and would vent the gas within minutes of a refill. Now it lives in a drawer somewhere. I ended up buying the radioshack butane soldering iron and loved it until it got crushed/destroyed due to my negligence. http://www.radioshack.com/mini-butane-gas-powered-iron/6402188.html I should probably buy a couple more before they completely disappear.
