Hi, in light of all of the general interest in fabrication here, I wanted to let the group know about an event my employer is having next month.
It's called "Hot Glass / Cold Beer" and it's a tour of the Bullseye Glass factory in SE and then a happy hour with Hopworks beer in our fab/teaching studio. http://www.eventbrite.com/e/hot-glass-cold-beer-happy-hour-at-bullseye-glass-tickets-15562159839 If you haven't seen glass being cast, I'll have to say it's pretty impressive. Plus lots of control systems to geek out on (we're mainly a Honeywell shop). Furnaces, gas & oxy systems, multi-zone conveyor annealing ovens, etc.. If someone is interested in specific factory topics, let me know and I can see if any of our engineers will be around to chat with.
