I'm building some small mechanical apparatus to move material, and I've been googling for something like a grown-up erector set. I've found some cool extruded T-slot ecosystem manufacturers that fit the bill (like 8020, Misumi), but I'm stuck finding linkages/pulleys. Fastenal and McMaster Karr aren't really hitting the spot.
What US suppliers do you all like to use for small hardware pulleys & motors/mounts (e.g., small like 3-5mm bore)? Gah, I'd love to just walk into a store that has beens of matched gears, hubs, pulleys, axles, motors, extrusions, etc... but all we have here seems to be Surplus Gizmos and that's totally hit or miss...
