I'm building some small mechanical apparatus to move material, and I've
been googling for something like a grown-up erector set. I've found some
cool extruded T-slot ecosystem manufacturers that fit the bill (like 8020,
Misumi), but I'm stuck finding linkages/pulleys. Fastenal and McMaster Karr
aren't really hitting the spot.

What US suppliers do you all like to use for small hardware pulleys &
motors/mounts (e.g., small like 3-5mm bore)?

I found these two cool sites, but they are international, aka expensive
shipping:

*http://www.gearsandsprockets.co.uk/ <http://www.gearsandsprockets.co.uk/>*

I also found some other industrial sites that have minimum $100-200 orders
(polytech design, WM Berg), as well as premade robot kits like Vex, Tamiya,
Eitech, and Inventables but they tend to look cheap and crappy.

Gah, I'd love to just walk into a store that has beens of matched gears,
hubs, pulleys, axles, motors, extrusions, etc... but all we have here seems
to be Surplus Gizmos and that's totally hit or miss...

Thanks in advance,
Peter

PS Websites to above mentioned Googling that have cool stuff but not what
I"m looking for:
