For Debian/Ubuntu users, 'apt-get install libarmadillo-dev' is all that's
needed.
Johannes: can you add a check to the build system, and make
libarmadillo-dev
a dependency for the Debian/Ubuntu packages?
I have this almost ready, however I was just wondering whether the
dependency on Armadillo should be optional or not? I guess it's not
optional but it would be good to get it confirmed before I add the
check.
It's a bit messy making things optional with ifdefs and the like, and it
complicates testing, so let's make it required.
OK, it is now added as a required dependency. Note that I have only
tested it with Armadillo 0.6.10 (yet).
Thanks. 0.6.10 should be fine - we're not using anything too fancy from
Armadillo.
