No, but I expect there's some string that happens to be empty that shouldn't. One thing you need to do now is to set the PETSC_ARCH. I changed it so that both PETSc and SLEPc are installed in-source (no --prefix) because apparently that is broken for SLEPc 3.1. -- Anders
