There now exist four petsc packages in the dorsal repository: petsc petscextra petscminimal petscwithoutmpi
I would these to be streamlined into two primary ones. petscextra => (new) petsc petscminimal + petsc => (new) petsccore petscwithoutmpi => (remove, along with support for xp) Thoughts?
