So my work-around was to add vtk at the beginning of package list in
the platform file. I have also removed the F14
vtk as it was also causing problems with paraview. Please note that
for some reason (at least on my machine)
the default vtk cmake options had python bindings disabled. You
obviously want to enable those and specify the
correct path to the python headers and library. Pretty simple and
quite easy. Credit is due to Andy Terrel for getting
me started though.
