At work we produce Help for Windows Apps in html these days. It's cross-
platform and can be linked into the App to make it context sensitive and you
don't have to use any particular browser. However, although I know this works
in XP, I don't know if it will work in W2k.
I don't actually know how to do the linking, I normally just write the docs.
However, my next task is to clean up and publish the docs for the system we've
just completed, so I will probably get to know in the next few days. If you
are still interested I'll ask the developers and let you know.

If you use html, then you have lots of alternatives
