My wife runs a program on my PC remotely from her windows XP PC, this in the most part works very well. The only problem is that when she makes a mistake the computer will let out a bleep but the bleep comes out of my PC and at times scare the wotsit out of me as I am not expecting it.
Now I don't want to kill the sound affects I have on my PC, so how do I stop them in this one application that the wife uses. The application does not seem to have any configurable setting for sound, so I assume it is being controlled by KDE itself. We use Xlaunch and putty on the wifes PC to make the remote connection. My PC is running Mepis8 (Debian Lenny) Regards Tim -- Next meeting: Bournemouth, Wednesday 2009-08-05 20:00 Dorset LUG: http://dorset.lug.org.uk/ Chat: http://www.mibbit.com/?server=irc.blitzed.org&channel=%23dorset List info: https://mailman.lug.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/dorset
