You know JR, I'm out of work; my local jobcentre is very friendly, no pressure. They pay my petrol costs for interviews, they pay my rent, poll tax, the full amount of benefits as well. With my commercial insurances also running, I'm paying off my debts faster than when I was working.
As long as you play it straight with them, they'll help a great deal. And I still do voluntary work, a few hours supporting my previous employer's clients privately; obviously I do it for free, since a reference is more important to me than a couple of hundred quid that would upset my arrangements. I won't be getting suicidal anytime soon. Simono On Mon, 2010-08-23 at 01:06 +0100, jr wrote: > On 22 August 2010 17:17, Simon O'Riordan <[email protected]> wrote: > > Ah, if only we lived in China.
