"Me too", mainly. I do still purchase tech books sometimes (or get a review copy from HantsLug and write a review ... <plug> ;-) but have not bought any of the mainstream mags for quite a while. I attribute this to: (a) a certain feeling of them 'dumbing down' ... I guess this should not be seen as a totally Bad Thing as it indicates the user base is widening; (b) generally finding that there was less in the magazines' content that seemed relevant to my interests. I found that I just didn't really want to do many of the things they were talking about. Also, the presence of a cover disk became irrelevant with the advent of decent broadband. -- Next meeting: Blandford Forum, Tuesday 2010-09-07 20:00 http://dorset.lug.org.uk/ http://www.linkedin.com/groups?gid=2645413 Chat: http://www.mibbit.com/?server=irc.blitzed.org&channel=%23dorset List info: https://mailman.lug.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/dorset
