I suspect not. There seems to be lots of people over time having the same issue as you are. Someone comes up with a workaround that works for them, not others, and then stops working for them even though they're sure it did. Sounds a bit like a race condition causing the intermittency. Do you have Evolution start automatically every time you log in? Perhaps try turning that off and start it manually after everything is all settled down, say a minute. Does it ever go wrong then?
