I transferred my new library and executable in the usual way, and this is what I found; the debugger will execute local copies of an .so file, but otherwise it is locked out by security. To get the .so to work, I needed to transfer it to the system 'lib' folder, using sudo nautilus. And it was found automatically after that. Nice security feature. I like it. Simono
