I did try that myself, but apparently that now also links to the
iplayer version... which I don't quite see how it is 'low' bandwidth
at all.

I noticed. The problem is, being installed by Pacman, it's owned by
root and therefore can't update. Which it tries to do on first run.
I did give it a go running it from my own home folder, but as usual,
it either doesn't like me, or it just isn't working any more.
