I downloaded from the Android market Terminal emulator a couple of
weeks ago. It seems pretty good. In looking for some info on which it
was I note that it has multiple windows, which could be useful.

I also notice that my Archos 70 ( from carphonewarehouse price £99) can
take a version of linux as per the following para.

"You can now choose to switch between the standard Linux Android or
Linux Ångström distributions. Out of the box you can switch your tablet
to the application framework you prefer to work on. Whether the more
mobile centric Linux Android or the developer and office centric Linux
Ångström."

I didn't note the option to change the 'framework' when I took it out of
the box.
