Back in '04 or thereabouts our daughter was involved in an RTA in Spain on a cycling/camping holiday. Going out to spend time with her on her convalescence led to us falling in love with the country, taking 3 years' evening calsses and a GCSE in Spanish, and putting our house on the market with the intention of going and teleworking from a finca on an Andalusian hillside. Then Northern Rock started the landslide.
