Following on from the instructions as mentioned earleir:

Try the instructions here to get your USB TV receiver working, suitably modified of course.
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=18329

When it gets to the 'make config'
f it doesn't like it because of obsolete packages or drivers, go to

http://git.linuxtv.org/media_build.git

And follow these instructions for awhile. That took me to:

http://git.linuxtv.org/media_build.git

Which had the instructions
       Typical usage is:
       git clone git://linuxtv.org/media_build.git
       cd media_build
       ./build

At this point I had to get 'git'

and then I had to add some more stuff:

sudo apt-get install patchutils libproc-processtable-perl
make install

Bit of a run-around, but then I was back to the ubuntu forum instructions, and aside from some errors in the processing of some of teh commands, I have my freecom DVB-T working again.

Cheers,

peter M
