Owning to a situation outside our control, our company is in need of a short term senior support person, with the following skills Required: - - Oracle 10g DBA - - SQL - Oracle and SQL 98 standard - - Red Hat Enterprise Linux - sysadmin - - Linux scripting ( ksh ) Nice to have: - some programming experience - familiarity with MS Windows ( servers) to sysadmin level basically this person has to stand in for me for up to 3 months, or more likely stand in for 6 weeks at the start and then work with me through the latter part. The company is based in Dorset, and is a 24/6 operation, with users in all possible time zones. The IT system supports an ERP and must be up at all times. In addition, parts of the company's IT is being broken out of the main systems into subsystems, possibly at other sites. This support person would be working as part of a very small team, but must work to security and auditing standards. Also they would be reporting, in part, to non-technical people, so the ability to explain clearly, what is planned is critical. If any one knows someone who may be interested, please pass this on.
