I may not be qualified to answer that question.  When I installed my copy of 
XP, it was under an MSDN licence, so I was legally allowed multiple 
activations anyway.  I have re-installed and re-activated several times since, 
but I may not have hit my limit yet.

I'm assuming that your copy is a personal one and your concern is that you 
have already activated it once.  As I say, I'm not a Windows expert, but my 
recollection with XP is that you can activate it multiple times if you have 
bought a full copy, eg a version that was bought 'stand-alone' for 
installation on a PC from any source.  If it's an OEM version, eg it came with 
a PC, then I think the rules are different.

Any comment anyone?
