I'm on Ubuntu 20.04. I ran out of space in root recently and so I
moved /opt to another disk. After a lot of fiddling that worked, and I
put the new partition mount into fstab. I also removed a few packages
but I would like to keep the root filesystem no closer to full than now
- about 10Gb spare.
So I want to put future packages into the new /opt but I can't see an
option for it. Is that possible? If no, are there alternatives?
