Hi Tim, As far as I know, at least on mine, the 2007 ThinkPads only had PCI, so you'd struggle running NVMe on there! 😂 To be honest, the hardware is old enough these days that even with the benefits of a direct SATA connection, I expect you'd struggle to reach near modern HDD speeds, let alone SSD speeds. You might be able to do some soldering directly to the serial headers, and I've seen people do it in the past, but it doesn't seem like a simple task if you're unfamiliar with soldering on motherboards.
