Hi,

I recently had to re-configure all my network devices so that they could be accessed via the new EE Router. Most of them sorted themselves out because I had previously configured them to have Static IP Addresses.

My HP Printer however, proved to be a bit of a pain. I use the HP Device Manager (HPLIP) to set it up and it works fine. There is however one niggle; a printer that appears in the drop list when I select Print in an application, but doesn't actually work.

If you look at the screenshot at https://hadrian-way.co.uk/Misc/Screenshot_20250820_103716.png you will see that the System Settings tool list four devices; my brother laser printer and then three HP devices. The problem is that the two HP printers both show up, but the one labelled 'Series [684EAD] doesn't work. If I try to delete this, it simply comes back>

Can anyone suggest how I can get rid of this? I've tried attaching it to an HP CUPS driver (it shows up as driverless), but that doesn't work either. It's confusing as it is, so any ideas?
