Back in the eighties, we used to use a company that specialised in
military and aerospace products (Raychem). At the time they had a free
tool that would design a harness complete with layout drawings, 3D view
and BOM (which only used Raychem heat shrink and accessories of
course). It was vary cost effective solution for us because the specs
we were given by our customers could only be met by Raychem.
