Everyone received this URL from SF, so there was no need to
re-post it.
Anyway, I find this part interesting:
---
*Harekiet*: And to really add new features you kinda get annoyed at
some of the design choices made at the time and really think it might
be better to just write a new emulator from scratch
---

This is 100 times more apparent for dosemu. When, ~15 years
ago, I needed a DOS emulation under linux, dosemu was already
there, so it _looked_ like it would be a good idea to fix it and not
to write a new one. And then it was too late to reconsider.
The dosbox guys started on windows, so they didn't have any
legacy code to start from, and they used this opportunity to
just write the things properly.
The work on dosemu includes 2 stages: first you spend power
fixing some subsystem, and then - the same amount of power
is spent to rewrite it from scratches.
For me dosemu was a great experience, its an excellent project
to learn from, because learning on other's mistakes is a quick
way to advance. :) From that perspective you can't learn that
much from dosbox, so I don't regret the choice.

OK, enough trolling.
