Location: Philadelphia Rates: competitive Start date: OCT 1 Oracle and Sybase Technical Support for the FAMIS Data Warehouse -Preliminary Arraignment System (PARS) This is a time and materials opportunity to provide Oracle and Sybase Technical support services for the ( ...) Division of Technology. The specific services are intended to maintain both the City’s existing Financial and Accounting Information System (FAMIS) data warehouse as well as the City’s arrest system - the Preliminary Arraignment System (PARS). The term will be for no more than one year, commencing October 1, 2008, and the successful respondent will chosen on the basis of qualifications, cost (hourly rate), and experience in supporting similar Solaris, Oracle and Sybase product driven projects. The general scope of services will include the following: Assist the Division of Technology’s Database Administration group with migration work for both the Oracle platform for the FAMIS data warehouse as well as the Sybase environment for the Preliminary Arraignment System (PARS). Assist the Division of Technology’s Database Administration Group with maintenance work to support the Solaris operating system. Assist the Preliminary Arraignment System (PARS) group with maintenance coding, migration to new release levels and troubleshooting as required. Provide database performance recommendations for either environment as required Provide alert management when system thresholds are reached Perform general database administration and coding assistance as required. Consult regularly with the Division of Technology’s Database Manager to provide input on matters that could significantly impact either system.
