(Phone to Hire)* The candidates MUST have VERY STRONG communication skills, and if they come from an Oil & Gas or Energy background that is a MAJOR PLUS The Informatica Developer will be responsible for Design and development of ETL process using Informatica to load data from file system into the target database for creation of Data Warehouse from "scratch". The Developer will be responsible for designing the Workflows, Worklets, Mappings, Configuring the Informatica Server and scheduling the Workflows and sessions using informaticaPowerCenter (8.x) and Power Mart (7.x, 5.x). · Codes ETL mappings (Develops and Unit Tests ETL mappings using Informatica) · Defines and captures metadata and rules associated with ETL processes · Develops unit & string test scripts, test conditions, expected results and sample data for ETL mappings · Executes unit & string test to ensure ETL mappings meet technical design specifications. · Assist in defect resolution process during testing & production support including completing code fixes, tracking and recording defect resolutions, working closely with test execution resources to identify and resolve issues and re-executing unit & string test scripts · Proactively identify issues and gaps in technical specifications · Manage own time and work effectively · Coordinates with data architect to resolve issues and requirements · Provide real-time status to Interface Architect (ETL Lead) · Escalate issues to Interface Architect in a timely manner. Identify options and recommended approach to resolve issues · Participate in code reviews & status meeting for ETL development team · Ensure all documentation is current & up-to-date · Track and report project time according to project policies · Skills Desired: Experienced in ETL (Informatica) design and development in a data warehouse environment. Knowledge in data warehouse design and development. Oracle, UNIX. Good written and verbal communications skills. Prefer for candidate to have Endur knowledge as well.
