Position: *Hyperion Planning 11.1.1 Consultant***
Location: *Minneapolis**, MN***
Duration: *6 Months*
Rate: $50-$55/hr all inclusive on C2C
*Job Description:*
We are looking for 8+ years Hyperion planning 11.1.1 Installation and
Configuration Consultant with the following:
- Implement *Hyperion Planning* and *Financial* Reports to facilitate the
*Budgeting, Forecasting,* and *Financial Reporting* processes
- Develop modules to support *P&L, Workforce, Supply Chain**, **and
Capital Expense planning*
The following represents the scope items that will be completed during the
lifecycle of this engagement:
I. Hyperion Planning 11.1.1 Installation and Configuration
The software being installed will be from Oracle/Hyperion:
- v11 Planning (Planning)
- v11 BI+ Analytic Services (Essbase Services)
- v11 Foundation Services (Core Services)
- v11 BI+ (Reporting)
The installation will adhere to the backup and recovery standards that are
provided and required by infrastructure group. This will require some
software to be installed across multiple servers per environment, depending
on the number of users and anticipated application growth.
1. Dev Environment
Installation of Hyperion Planning v11 on three separate servers:
- Server 1 – Planning, Core Services, Reporting
- Server 2 – Essbase Services
- Server 3 – Relational Database (existing installation)
2. QA Environment
Installation of Hyperion v11 on three separate servers:
- Server 1 – Planning, Core Services, Reporting
- Server 2 – Essbase Services
- Server 3 – Relational Database (existing installation)
3. Production Environment
Installation of Hyperion v11 on three separate servers:
- Server 1 – Planning, Core Services, Reporting
- Server 2 – Essbase Services
- Server 3 – Relational Database (existing installation)
II. Analytic OLAP
Essbase Services will be used to create an analytical layer to meet
Finance’s reporting requirements. Additionally, Essbase will be utilized
for the calculations, modeling and any aggregations required of the
solution.

III. Reporting and Analytics
Hyperion v11 BI+ will be used to create an analytic layer to provide the
necessary reporting capabilities required by customer. The reporting tools
will consist of SmartView, Web Analysis, & Financial Reporting.
Independent Contractor will create 10 key reports to support the initial
roll-out and implementation of the reporting solution that are defined as in
scope during the business requirements and solution design phases. During
the report build phase, available resources will work closely with project
team for cross-training and knowledge transfer.
General Reporting Requirements:
- A total of 10 reports will be created and will be made up of
either of the following:
- Reports will be created in Financial Reporting to support this project
- SmartView will be leveraged for Excel-based ad hoc analysis and
reporting
- Regulatory reporting is out of scope
IV. Validation and Reconciliation
During the Testing phase, users will be able to utilize test scripts to
validate the functionality that has been built. The majority of the
testing scenarios will cover report functionality, calculations and the user
experience. The overall goal is to validate that the business requirements
and user expectations have been met through a proficiently designed and
built solution.
UAT is a full integration test, which involves end-users validating that the
system is functioning appropriately. This test is meant to simulate how the
system would work in a production environment. Similar to pilots and
prototypes, UAT testing will use scripts to validate all of the testing
scenarios. Some of these additional scenarios include data extracts and
transformations, data loads, security, and data consolidations. UAT should
test an end-to-end business and technical process.
V. Training
A train-the-trainer approach will be used for this project. Independent
Contractor will train a subset of individuals who may or may not act as the
administrator(s) of the application. These trainees will then perform
training for end-users. The end-user training is specific to the *Hyperion
Planning Solution, Financial Reporting, and SmartView (Excel add-In)
applications.*
The training will consist of one-on-one and classroom training geared
towards an application specific overview and providing a better
understanding of OLAP reporting/analysis based on customers dimensionality.
Training documents will be used by Independent Contractor to aid in the
training of customers’ individuals. Customer will be able to use these
documents to train additional BCBSM resources and utilize as reference
material.
*Knowledge Transfer*
Technical and Business Knowledge Transfer sessions will occur throughout the
project to ensure a seamless transition post go-live. The knowledge
transfer is a valuable mechanism to provide customer with the information
required to maintain the solution.
This information will be included in the system document along with
technical components of the data architecture and reporting and analytic
application(s). An integrated process will be used to develop the necessary
skills and capabilities of customer’s associates to maintain and administer
the new reporting and analytic solution. Customer associates will be
incorporated into the development process in a shadowing and hands on role.
Two (2) week of Post Go-Live Support is required in this proposal.
