*CMDB Monitoring Architect*

Architect/Senior Consultant who has implementation working experience with
designing and implementing CMDB. In particular, if they have done work in
the CA (Computer Associates) CMDB product that would be very preferable.
The desired candidate must demonstrate ability to propose pragmatic plan to
implement solutions with immediate/short term payback, and propose a future
roadmap for CMDB.

The CMDB will be implemented to enhance the capabilities of the Systems and
Applications Monitoring infrastructure (real time monitoring and alerting of
servers, storage, networks, databases, Applications, websites, etc...). The
Auto-Discovery functionality of CA tools, is critical complimentary
functionality that needs to be implemented. Having knowledge and experience
in such functionality (Auto Discovery) is extremely desired.

The Architect must have knowledge and/or experience with Monitoring systems,
CA CMDB and Auto-discovery tools to enhance the monitoring capabilities.

 *Objective:*

Define a practical CMDB data model based on business requirements the
included controlled scope for CMDB update and data integrity.  CMDB data
model and design must integrate into data management, discovery and
monitoring tools.

*Skills and experience:*

·            Deep experience with CMDB design and development in an ITIL v.3
implementation.    Experience with process design and review. (examples of
designs)

·          Senior Consultant Or Architect level skills/Experience: Technical
Leadership in the area           of  CMDB, Auto-Discovery, Systems
Monitoring, Service Desk)

·          Auto discovery & dependency mapping implementation experience

·         Define and perform verification and audit of the discovery of
Configuration Items

·           Define a process to manage IT asset lifecycle discovery and CMDB

Minimum of 2 years experience in an advisory role providing recommendations
to customers on optimal PeopleSoft hardware architecture configurations and
sizing

Strong Oracle 10G DBA skills.

SQL Tuning skills are mandatory.
