Need Sr.SQL DBA consultant
Location: Charlotte, NC
Length: 3 months w/option for additional
time
Overview:
The Sr. SQL DBA will be conducting an SQL Migration Work(excluding Reporting
Data Warehouse) and DBA Assessment work.
Requirements:
1. Must have 3-5 yrs of production support & operations of SQL Server
2000-2008, 2008 is a must RDBM’s including: { Configure and implement Merge
replication in a Distributed environment}
2. Ability to migrate from SQL Server 2000 and 2005 to SQL Server 2008
3. Ability to build and execute test plans for migration
4. Solid understanding of:
a. Backup/Recovery Strategies,
b. Indexing & performance Tuning,
c. Data Migration,
d. Security,
e. Capacity Planning
5. Experience with Data Archiving a plus
6. Position requires routinely looking beyond what is requested to
create greater value and process efficiency
7. Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of the
organization.
8. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be strong and
effective communicator (sales oriented in approach).
9. Good writing skills and ability to multi task in the support of
this project
