Hands-on QA Analyst position requiring the ability to quickly learn the
architecture and then build, document, and maintain test cases and test
environments to ensure high quality product releases. The QA Analyst will
work closely with Product Management, Development, and Operations to ensure
that the QA work being performed closely resembles all of the different
configurations being used by our customers. This position will require some
coordination with global teams. There are three projects that are in need of
support. The contractor will fit in depending on the skill set expertise.
*Responsibilities:*
Work with the project management team, technical teams, and operations to
determine, identify, and write test cases
Work closely with project managers and testing teams to provide testing
timelines
Participate in the early phases of projects to ensure that inputs into the
testing process can be translated into a test plan and test cases
Work with globally-dispersed developers to understand new features and bugs
to be tested in the releases
Work with client support services to determine client issues when escalated
to software engineering
Create new test plans for new product features
Develop new methods to test existing product features
Participate in the execution of test plans
Document and review bug reports and other test performance/automation test
results
Configure, administer, and troubleshoot software test environments
Participate in regression, load, and performance testing
*Qualifications:*
3+ years of experience testing .ASP or .NET web applications
Familiarity with Agile testing methodologies - *MOST important*
*Additional skills in order of importance:*
Advanced expertise in functionality, usability, automation, and performance
testing
Strong hands-on experience in writing detailed test plans, test cases, test
scripts, creating test data, test execution, and creating defects.
Strong understanding of QA methodologies, including the verification and
validation processes
Knowledge and experience with web application architecture, relational
database, Microsoft .NET and related technologies, C#, HTML, Windows AD
Familiarity with Quality Center and QTP
Strong problem solving and analytical skills and ability to analyze complex
technical problems
Ability to multi-task, work independently and collaboratively, adapt easily
to shifting priorities, process changes, and/or schedule changes
Ability to explain issues clearly and concisely while building effective
working relationships
Excellent verbal and written communications
