*Title: *Business Analyst in the area of SAP APO (SNP) *Client: *Monsanto *Contract Length: *9+ months* Location: *St. Louis, MO The successful Business Analyst in the area of SAP APO (SNP) candidate will work within the high performance Manufacturing IT Team. Exceptional teamwork is critical to the success of the individual and the achievement of business results. *Responsibilities will include: * - Working in close relationship with Global Vegetable’s planners to understand and support business processes. - Working with and supporting the Planning groups and working to develop and manage enterprise solutions to problems that best reduce Monsanto's operating costs within the Supply Chain. - Configuration of all of APO functionality with emphasis in the Supply Network Planning (Capable-to- Match, Safety Stock planning and Capacity planning) and Demand Planning. - Support activities include developing and maintaining interfaces (CIF) to other supporting systems. - Driving improvements and enhancements to planning tools and procedures for all identified Business Requirements. - Development of Functional Design Specifications and other detailed enhancement documentation to support custom program development (CIF User Exits and APO functional modules). - Cross-functional work with OPO, BI, QM, PP-PI, LE, SD, MM, ABAP, Basis, Operations, and other teams as necessary to resolve technical and process issues. - Understanding and supporting integration issues that affect the APO application. - Identify opportunities for process improvements either in existing designs or by adopting new functionalities available in SCM 5.0. *Required Skills: * - Minimum 7 years SAP APO configuration experience for Supply Network Planning (SNP). - Need at least 2 full life cycle implementation experience in SAP APO. - Experience in configuring and managing the implementation of functionality including Multi-Level Supply planning (CTM), Safety Stock planning, Capacity planning and Core Interface (CIF). - Understanding of APO master data configuration structure. - Strong experience in the use of User Exits, Function Modules, BAPIs and BADIs. - Demonstrate effectiveness in meeting with users and management to define complex business requirements in sufficient detail to determine the appropriate SAP APO configuration or development required, or to document why the requirement cannot be satisfied by an SAP-based solution. - Results oriented individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Good understanding of live cache concepts. - Ability to work with a process person to develop, document and translate business requirements into conceptual designs. - Ability to write functional design specifications for SAP APO custom programming (more than just configuring for a specific process). - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, and Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field is required. - SAP Business Warehouse experience. - Experience in SAP SCM 5.0. *Must Have: * - Must be proficient in SAP APO module. - Must be able to work in a team environment and have excellent skills in cross-team communication and task completion. - Must have demonstrated proficiency in team communication and working as an effective team member. - Must have superior analytical skills to think through complex, multidimensional problems. - Must have the ability to independently drive issue resolution, develop business knowledge, and relationships and apply technical alternatives while operating in a rapidly changing environment.
