Storage Technical Support Specialists in this job role work with products or solutions based on any vendor hardware and/or any vendor operating system software. IT Specialists who apply their technical skills to support the operation and maintenance of vendor products, services, and solutions. Individuals who are part of Support typically have responsibility for sizing, troubleshooting, and critical customer situations. Required Skills: 1. Storage Technical Support Specialists responsible for applying expert analysis to provide support for problems and change tickets for storage systems. 2. Candidate will be responsible for the Management of Storage and related devices within a SAN. Candidate must have working knowledge of SAN fundamentals, SAN Fiber Switches, and SAN Storage Devices. 3. Candidate will be expected to posses or gain knowledge of McData Fiber Switches, McData EFCManager GUI, IBM DS8000, and IBM TotalStorage DS8000 Storage Manager. IBM ESS Shark, IBM ESS Specialist, IBM DS4800, IBM XIV, IBM SVC, Device CLI, and a basic plus would be System Admin AIX, UNIX, and Windows skills. 4. Candidate must also posses strong skills with customer facing, problem determination skills, and is a team player. In addition to Level 1/2/3, SAN Designer roles are required.
