Resource will have to determine the application landscape; understand existing test bed (if any), understand the new requirements and specifications; determine complete scope, complexity and size of testing effort, develop and execute test cases, ensuring thorough coverage and traceability to business and functional requirements; ensure compliance with testing best practices and standards; report on QA status to the project team and upper management.// Minimum Requirement Details: 7 to 10 years experience in the software QA and/or Development, with experience working on 3 or more projects from requirements inception to product release Strong analytical skills Experience with testing web-based applications developed in J2EE (Java) and/or .NET framework Proven success in testing large scale, multi-tiered, integrated systems. Experience with Windows Server navigation; Experience running batch commands and reviewing output, logs, etc. on the Windows platform. Strong understanding of SQL Server database and constructing/executing SQL queries. Strong understanding of Oracle database and constructing/executing SQL queries, Experience with data migration testing. Experience with UNIX (Sun Solaris/HP) server navigation; Experience running batch commands and reviewing output, logs, etc. on the UNIX platform. Mainframe / DB2 testing experience Experienced with Mercury Test Management tools (Quality Center, Test Director) and Rational Clear Quest Defect Tracking tool, or similar defect tracking tools. Ability to work in cross-functional teams across multiple levels of the organization. Ability to work independently. Ability to multi-task.
