Technical Skill and Qualifications: • Preferred: BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. • REQUIRED: Direct experience in the use and administration of CA Autosys Workload Automation systems (v4.5.1, R11.x), Autosys Client management (2+ yrs.) • REQUIRED: UNIX and WINTEL (Solaris10; AIX 5.x, SUSE Linux 10.x+, Windows 2xxx, Citrix, VMWare) sysadmin skills; Programming skills must be demonstrated, and must include two or more of the following: Advanced UNIX and/or WINTEL scripting (PERL/BOURNE/KORN/PowerShell,Visual Basic); SQL, CGI, JAVA development experience.(3+yrs); Ability to use Microsoft Office tools (Project, Powerpoint, Excel, Word, Visio) • Highly Desirable: Demonstrated developer and/or DBA experience w/Sybase (Oracle a plus), Experience in these environments: IIS, Apache, TomCat, Remedy ticketing system. • Desirable: Experience in these environments: Veritas VCS, VMWare, Web Logic 9+, network (IP), LDAP, DNS, Nokia firewalls, fireproofs, F5 load balancers, global load balancers, portals; • Desirable: System & Network Management/Monitoring Systems using IBM Tivoli NetCool (Omnibus, Impact. Reporter, Precision, ISM, ITM, SSM, WEBTop, Info Vista, HP BPM Business Process Monitor - Topaz, Tivoli; SNMP Management Protocols, (2+yrs.) • Desirable: Five+ years experience in varied technical positions (requires broad technical IS knowledge at a senior level), including development experience implementing systems Infrastructure development/support preferred. - Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP. Experience in Windows NT, Windows 2000, Citrix, Internet Information Server, SQL Server and Oracle Databases (desired). - Expertise in NetCool troubleshooting and performance tuning, writing stored procedures and triggers (desired). - XML; Java; SNMP; MIBII; J2EE - C programming Specific duties include: • Develop tools, interfaces, or wrappers to support integration across multiple management interfaces. • Develop the logic, scripts, and programs for the distributed Autosys clients that process, and forward events or schedule jobs to the centralized job scheduling systems. • Contribute to the configuration and customization of enterprise job scheduling workload automation system and distribution of client based software and tools (e.g. Autosys) and scripts for scheduling jobs on UNIX, and WINTEL platforms, system including scripts for monitoring, and database configurations and management, services, access management, installations, troubleshooting, etc. • Work closely with UNIX, network, database, and WINTEL groups, and with business application developer groups to understand and prioritize their requirements for the effective implementation of job scheduling solutions. • Maximize the effectiveness of the job scheduling environments throughout the enterprise. • Understand product related API logic (e.g. Remedy, Autosys, etc.) to develop interfaces to support streamlined integration across various platforms including mainframe CA7 job scheduling systems. • Participate in the rotation of production support primary duties with other team members. May include off-hours and weekends support depending on the position/role. • Maintain Remedy problem cases in a timely and efficient manner. This includes assigning reasonable target completion dates, putting to completed status on or before due date 100% of time, and entering relevant, complete information. • Submit and execute formal change tickets to implement change in the production environment • Identify problems and correct them as soon as possible to restore full service • Coordinate resolution with infrastructure and application support groups and implement changes to prevent problem recurrence • Participate in supporting user requests and daily maintenance duties • Assist with tasks delegated by management. Ability to understand cross-platform distribution/migration processes, and to document, develop and implement efficient and reliable procedures.
