*Position : Oracle DBA * *Duration: 3 – 4 months contract* *Rate: $ 40/hr* *Location: Woodland Park, NJ (Northern NJ – near Paterson)* Odd location – Car is must for commute. * * *JOB PURPOSE:* This position will be responsible for managing and providing support for enterprise Oracle technology platform that align with the company goals, objectives and direction. In addition, this role is also responsible for supporting establishing best operational practices and standard Operating procedures for Oracle platform. *ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * · Lead and participate in database infrastructure setup and database design review sessions. · Manage and support a very large database that supports a *fast paced – Media group and Dynamic data.* · Strong experience in *Oracle 9i/10/11g RAC, Dataguard, RMAN, Grid control* · Strong experience in *Oracle database and Operating system performancetuning * · Knowledge on EMC Storage, backup technologies like Netbackup · Troubleshoot and provide technical solutions to database issues encountered by new and existing applications in the environment. · Actively monitor the database environment to increase efficiency, improve reliability, and minimize operating expenses. · Analyze and tune application performance by optimizing SQL, stored procedures and triggers. · Assist with SQLs, stored procedures and package development as required by development projects. · Responsible for coordinating projects as a technical lead, providing design and implementation standards to team members. · Drive efficiencies through automation, Standard Operating procedures, check lists and operational excellence. · Demonstrate a strong sense of internal and external customer satisfaction as a top priority. · Provide on-going communication of status of projects and implementation. · Create a positive, supportive, and team-focused working environment. · Play a proactive role in developing and applying “Best in Class� approaches/practices to our operational readiness. · Partner with the Build Technology team to establish sound handoffs and detailed documentation standards before new builds are accepted into the production environment. * * *Qualifications/Requirements*-** · 8+ years of technical experience in Oracle environment including Oracle RAC, Data guard and RMAN · Minimum 4 years experience managing very large database for SAP applications · Minimum 6 years of managing and administering oracle 9i RAC · Minimum 4 years administering experience on 10g single instances and 10g RAC · Minimum 8 years experience of sql tuning and database performance tuning · Minimum 6 years experience of Oracle OEM and 10g Grid · Minimum 8 years experience of production support and troubleshooting skills · Minimum 8 years experience on managing and administering oracle on UNIX and Linux · Minimum 8 years experience on installing, creating and configuring oracle database Thanks & Regards *Sandi* Recruiter G Technologies Inc. 4340 Stevens Creek Blvd, San Jose, CA 95129.
