For *.net contract positions.* * * Contract Location: North Jersey Rate: market rate Duration: 6 month contract Our direct client in Northern NJ has multiple consulting opportunities for senior .NET developers! The ideal candidates will be be responsible for design, development, implementation and support of software applications to support business initiatives for internal customers, for a customized application suite. Responsibilities include working with Technical Lead, Business Analysts, and Project Managers to translate design into product, including programming, testing, and implementation tasks; perform some application design (e.g. subcomponents of larger application architecture designed by Technical Lead); troubleshoot technical issues in a 3rd tier support role; prepare and maintain related technical documentation; maintain strong relationships with internal customers; implement design using firm standards. 4+ years experience as a software developer responsible for the development of business applications using .NET and Object-Oriented methodologies and tools including hands-on development experience with Microsoft .NET 3.5, C#, ASP.NET, Web Services, WCF, SQL Server 2005, Visual Studio 2008, Third-Party controls (e.g. Telerik), Windows Server 2003 and 2008, CSLA, Metstorm and AJAX. Experience with integrating third party products (e.g. Telerik AJAX & Reporting controls). Hands-on experience translating Use Cases, Class and Sequence Diagrams, and UML notation into code. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to successfully develop systems for implementation at the direction of a technical lead. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team. Strong experience as a senior application developer on successful midsize to large application development projects from requirements through implementation. Desired Skills: Prefer someone with real experience or high degree of familiarity with at least one of the current software development lifecycle methodologies such as RUP or Agile methodologies (XP, SCRUM, etc).
