I just received a contract that will last until the end of the year looking for a BI developer. The max rate is $63c2c. *Duration: Till End of the Year * *Location:** Berwyn, PA* *Process:** Phone interview, face to face, hire!* *Job Description: * HudsonIT has partnered with a loyal client to help them identify a Sr. Level BI Developer who will need to be capable of performing analysis, design, implementation, testing, maintenance and support tasks. In this position you will assume responsibility for interaction with other group members and departments, and the ability to work independently as well as in collaboration with others to implement solutions. - Implementing, testing, maintaining and supporting software, based on technical design specifications. - Preparing technical design specifications based on analysis documents and functional requirements. - Reviewing functional requirements, analysis and design documents with feedback. - Assisting customer support with technical problems and questions. - Experience implementing n-tiered, distributed systems across different Hardware/Operating System platforms required Participating in architecture and code reviews. - Implementing BI development best practices. *Education & Training:*** - B.S. in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent experience. - Cognos 8 certification required. - 5 years minimum experience in software engineering, with 5 years minimum experience in BI development. - 2 years developing Cognos applications for distribution as an OEM product a strong plus. - 2 years experience with Cognos 8 Report Studio, Cognos 8 Framework Manager and Cognos Administration required. - 2 years experience with required including installation, security design and implementation, and content management. - Experience with other Business Intelligence tools a plus. - Relational database experience with one or more of the following: Oracle, DB2, MS SQL Server is required. - Experience with iterative, incremental software development processes. - Understanding of database design and software to database interface programming. - Strong SQL skills.
