Interview: Phone and In-Person. * *REPLY TO: [email protected] * The primary responsibilities include: · Review and analyze system specifications to determine whether all required elements have been included. · Consult with clients to gather information about program needs, objectives, functions, features, and input and output requirements. · Analyze, define, and document requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, compliance, and outputs. · Use programming languages to code computer instructions from Business Requirements and System Designs. · Utilize any special programming techniques necessary to achieve the most effective program. · Test and debug computer programs. · Modify existing programs to conform to system changes or to make improvements in the existing program. · Advise and work with user departments to resolve specific problems or make changes in programs, computer applications, capabilities, alternative programming approaches, limitations, etc. · Write and maintain documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections. · Monitor performance of programs after implementation. · Cross-train as back-up for development and maintenance. · End-end incident tracking and client follow-up, including post mortem. MAIN WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: · Application Support team · Development teams · Relationship and Implementation Managers · Operations and Data Center teams *Required:* • A minimum of 6+ years multi-tier IT Java/J2EE development experience with the ability to demonstrate senior Java knowledge and experience delivering technical solutions for business opportunities. •Proven experience developing software with multi-tiered J2EE/PLSQL large-scale applications leveraging Design Patterns, JSP’s, Servlets concepts as well as open source frameworks such as MVC, Struts, Spring, AOP and Tiles. •The ability to demonstrate a thorough understanding of programming language(s), software development IDE tools (Eclipse and TOAD/SQL Developer), source control environment(s), like SVN. •Knowledge of systems analysis and functional design experience, along with a thorough knowledge of database concepts and relational databases that was used to develop Java applications. •The ability to convey a strong understanding of OOA/OOP, web-based technology, and experience with BEA WebLogic Server. •Proven proficiency using some standard JAVA development tools, including ANT, log4J, JUnit, JavaDoc and popular IDE’s such as Eclipse Plus or NetBeans. •The ability to program and design using XML and XSLT. •The ability to read, understand, design and create programs using Unix and shell scripting. •Well rounded experience in application architecture, design principles and development methodologies.
