This encompasses various levels of reporting using complex queries and views, which need to execute at maximum performance. Database development work is done using *Oracle* PL/SQL on an *Oracle* 11g RDBMS. It will be necessary to maintain and enhance database structure, perform SQL programming and performance tuning, This is a challenging position that requires someone to think independently, but still work well with others. This is a chance to get in on the ground floor and make an impact on our new product line. It is an opportunity to work for a great company with smart people on a large system that is used worldwide.** ****Candidate MUST be 70% Developer & 30% DBA MUST **** *KEY SKILLS : * ORACLE ;PL/SQL development;Oracle 10g 11g RDMS ; DDL,DML, SQL*Plus scripts ;TOAD; SQL Developer;ERWIN ; Visio ;Data modeling tools *Responsibilities* •Read and map complex DDL (views, tables, etc) •Read, write and test complex DML (insert, update, delete) •Read, write and test SQL*Plus scripts •Perform deployment and versioning of *Oracle *packages and objects** •Prepare system design documents, use cases, test cases and other systems documentation •Identify performance bottle necks and improve performance. •Communicate clearly both verbally and through documentation •Always aware and gaining expertise in new development techniques •Develop and maintain solutions for database patching and upgrading existing database environments •Develop database maintenance procedures. *Qualifications:* •5+ years of PL/SQL development •5+ years writing packages, procedures, functions and triggers •5+ years writing SQL*Plus scripts •Capable of working with and writing nested queries and sub queries •Capable of optimizing and fine tuning queries to improve performance •Knowledge of database administration including the manipulation of system tables •Solid knowledge of data modeling •Excellent documentation experience using appropriate tools •Excellent written, verbal , organizational and presentational skills •Excellent analytical ability and judgment •Excellent time management skills •Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field * Beneficial Skills:* •Basic understanding of .net •Experience with TOAD or SQL Developer •Experience with ERWIN, Visio or other data modeling tools •*Oracle* certified professional ** Please send the updated resume of the consultant along with the rate, location and contact information.
