Please Reply on: -- [email protected] Rate::-$35/Hr Job title: Oracle Database Administrator Location: Pittsburgh PA Job start date: ASAP Duration: 12 Months Description: Role Description: •Provide routine technical support with responsibility and accountability for multiple Oracle landscapes; •Will be involved in the full scope of the Systems Development Life Cycle from requirements gathering, coding, testing, implementation through on-going producti on support of the environment; •Responsible for managing activities in a diverse and challenging environment; •Work closely with customers and vendor resources for problem analysis and resolution; •Responsible for identifying the hardware and software components of solutions including interfaces, protocols, services, standards, and product technical requi rements; •Responsible for monitoring and maintaining productive environments which may include runtime operation, capacity management and planning, system tuning, securi ty, user definitions, configuration, and scheduling/execution of maintenance; •Coordination with the other Teams, vendor and customers for installation and maintenance windows; Required Skills: •Minimum of 6 to 8 years of experience as a Database Administrator; •Experience supporting Oracle RDBMS infrastructure in diverse and complex environment, including Oracle RAC, DataGuard technologies. Experience in MSSQL Server, MySQL, or Teradata a plus. •Experience with backup and recovery strategies/methods using Oracle RMAN •Experience with database management methods including native command line and Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control •Programming experience with SQL, PL/SQL procedures and packages •Understanding of Unix (Linux, AIX, HPUX) and Microsoft Windows operating systems •Understanding of SAN/NAS technologies in relation to the Oracle RDBMS architecture •Experience with scripting languages including Perl, Unix Korn/C Shells, Windows command shell.
